10. Alessandro MoreschiThe Last Castrato
The recording of Moreschi was extremely popular on the original list so I have found a second song by him. In this recording of Domine Salvum Fac we hear the typical "sobbing" style from the time. Here we also have Moreschi backed by a choir and singing some of his finer high notes recorded. Moreschi was the last recorded castrato (a man who had had his testicles removed as a child to prevent his voice from breaking as he grew older). We have his recordings thanks to the foresight of Pope Leo XIII who had an interest in the "modern" recording devices being invented at the time.

Top 15 Most Influential Classical Composers
Classical music is one of the great loves of my life and I have spent many years studying it. Someone on another list suggested that I do an influential classical composers list and while I was not sure I could pull it off - I think I have. One thing is for sure - this list is going to upset some people - but I believe my selections are all correct. I have not been able to order these composers by importance as there is no objective way to do this, instead I have ordered them chronologically.
15. Saint Hildegard Von Bingen 1098 - 1179
Not only was Hildegard Von Bingen considered the mother of opera (because of her Ordo Virtutum) and music, she was a polymath (a person with advanced and broad knowledge - this is like a genius except a genius usually has mastery of one, not many, subjects). Hildegard was a German abbess, artist, author, counselor, linguist, naturalist, scientist, philosopher, physician, herbalist, poet, activist, visionary, and composer. She wrote theological, botanical and medicinal texts, as well as letters, liturgical songs, poems, and the first surviving morality play, while supervising brilliant miniature illuminations. Her music, of course, influenced the vocal music of the renascence and opera from that period forward. If I were forced to pick a single greatest influence on classical music - I would be very tempted to choose this genius Nun. Though not officially canonized, she is generally regarded to be a saint and her feast day is on September 17.

Ayn Rand, was a Russian-born American novelist and philosopher. She is widely known for her best-selling novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, and for developing a philosophical system she called Objectivism. She was an uncompromising advocate of rational individualism and laissez-faire capitalism, and vociferously opposed socialism, altruism, and other contemporary philosophical trends. She is generally either hated or loved. Her objectivist philosophy had a strong influence on the evolution of the Libertarian political philosophy movement (though she rejected the title). Here are 25 of her more profound quotes.
Quotes 1 - 5
1. A government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.
2. Ask yourself whether the dream of heaven and greatness should be waiting for us in our graves - or whether it should be ours here and now and on this earth.
3. Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage's whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men.

Top 8 Age Old Parker Brother's Games
Board games have long been a staple in most homes. New games are still being created, but odds are that you have a copy of a long time favorite tucked away on a forgotten shelf or better yet is still played often. I'm talking about age old favorites, such as Monopoloy or Clue. This list takes a look at the top selling oldest games from Parker Brothers, which was started by 16 year old George S. Parker in 1883 with $40 of his $50 life savings. These are in no specific order.

Top 10 Classical One Hit Wonders
Due to some complaints on a recent list about the lack of classical music, I am hereby giving you a classical music list. One hit wonders are famous in the modern music world, but people seldom think of them in terms of classical music. The definition we use here has to be more liberal for the sake of classical music as there are such varying degrees of knowledge of each composer. Deutsche Grammophon and Vox Records each put out a series of classical one hit wonder albums - this list is the 10 that were common to both lists. Enjoy the music!
10. Caucasian SketchesMikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov
Caucasian Sketches is an orchestral suite written in 1894 by Russian composer Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov. It is the most often performed of his compositions and can be heard frequently on classical radio stations. The final movement, entitled The Procession of the Sardar, is often heard by itself, and is a favorite of "Pops" concerts. The suite, written in 1894, is an excellent example of Ippolitov-Ivanov's debt to his composition teacher Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as to the influence of folksong, in this case the music of Georgia.

When you view 3d images in a viewer or with 3D glasses the optics of the viewer (or glasses) allow the left eye to see only the image intended for the left eye and the right only the image intended for it. With freeviewing both left and right images are always visible so you need to learn to point each eye at the correct image.
There are two methods of viewing for these images - the first is called Parallel viewing:
In parallel viewing the image for the left eye is on the left and the image for the right eye is on the right. You stare into the screen so that your eyes are aimed (more or less) parallel. As you stare into the screen you will get double vision as each eye sees the L & R images separately. When you are staring in at the right distance the middle two images will overlap and become 3d. The outer two images will remain and will still be 2d.
The second method is cross-viewing:
In cross eye viewing the image for the left eye is on the right and the image for the right eye is on the left. You stare at a point about 1/2 way to the screen so that your eye's gaze is crossing at the half way point. Thus the left eye sees the correct image which is on the right. As you cross your eyes the image will go double. When your eyes are crossed the correct amount the middle images will overlap and be in 3d. The two outer images will remain and will be in 2d. The musical genre, much akin to movies and film makers, is as widely varied as one subject can possibly be. Spanning generations as well as styles; ranging from gospel to funk, from rockabilly to soul, music as a whole has changed lives, encompassed eras, and become, to many, as powerful a messenger as religion. Here are fifteen of the most influential musicians of all time.
15. Bill Haley & The Comets (1952)
Bill Haley & His Comets was an American Rock & Roll band that was founded in 1952 and continued until Haley's death in 1981. The band, also known by the names: Bill Haley and The Comets and Bill Haley's Comets (and several variations thereof), was one of the earliest groups of white musicians to bring rock and roll to the attention of white America and the rest of the world. Bandleader, Bill Haley, had previously been a country and western performer; after recording a country and western-styled version of 'Rocket 88′, a rhythm and blues song, he changed musical direction to a new sound that eventually came to be called Rock and Roll.

Top 10 Significant Moments in Comic History
In 1827, Switzerland's Rudlophe Topffer created a comic strip and continued on to publish seven graphic novels. In 1837, Rudolphe Töpffer published "The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck" and it is considered the earliest known comic book. Since then the Comic Book has gone on to be one of the most popular printed items in the world. Here are ten moments in history that helped define the 'Super Hero Comic' genre.
10. The Rise of the X-Men1963
The X-Men are a team of science-fictional comic book characters as super heroes and, occasionally, super villains in the Marvel Universe. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, they debuted in The X-Men #1, published in September 1963. The X-Men are fictitious 'mutants' who, as a result of a sudden leap in evolution, are born with latent 'superhuman' abilities, which generally manifest themselves at or very near puberty. In the stories, many ordinary humans harbor an intense fear and/or distrust of mutants (often referred to as Homo superior), who are regarded by a number of scientists as the next step in human evolution and are thus widely viewed as a threat to human civilizations. Though the X-Men, under the tutelage of Professor Charles Xavier, are generally viewed as 'heroic', the antithesis would be the 'evil' Brotherhood controlled by Xavier's much more human-mistrusting, Magneto.

The standard orchestra that most of see these days consists of four sections: strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion.
