Cloves are pinned on fresh apple and kept for 7 days or until the apple is rotten completely. Then, you pick out the cloves and throw away the apple. Cloves are then placed in the air-tight bottle to be used later on. These cloves are kept under the tongue and they help in curing cold and cough.(Recipe by my mother, Nasreen Hanif Adhia)
